Driver’s License Tests
Before you take or book your driver’s licence road test in Manitoba, you need to become a client of MPI. You can do this at your local Brio Insurance office with the help of some personal documents:
- Valid Canadian passport, Manitoba Health card, and bank statement OR
- Canadian birth certificate, Manitoba Health card, and guarantor form
If you don’t have the documents listed above, no worries. Check out this list for some other document options.
Keep in mind, you can’t send anyone on your behalf to become an MPI client, and, if you are under 18 years old, you will need to have a parent or guardian with you.

To help you learn the ins and outs of driving, there are Driver’s Ed courses offered in a bunch of schools around the province. Check out MPI’s handy course finder to find a location near you.
