Summer in Manitoba: Events in our branch communities
‘Blink and you’ll miss it’ is an apt saying for a summer in Manitoba. But with two weeks left in August, there are still plenty of summertime events that you can check out in our beautiful branch communities.
As a provider of classic car insurance, summer in Manitoba is never complete without at least attending one car show. On August 25 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, head on down to Park Avenue in Beausejour (hey, that sounds familiar) and check out some pretty sweet wheels at the Shades of the Past Show & Shine. Admission is free, but consider bringing a tin for the bin!
Mix in a movie
There’s nothing quite like watching a movie outdoors in the warm summer air, is there? Just a stone’s throw away from our Graham branch, we recommend checking out Movies on Memorial (Memorial Park) on August 20 & 27 at 9:30 pm. The last two movies of the summer are Dodgeball and The Mighty Ducks, respectively.
BBQ for a good cause
When we think of summer in Manitoba, a word that immediately comes to mind is BBQ (yum!) Consider visiting St. Vital Park on August 24 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm for a BBQ and fundraiser for Manitoba Women for Women of South Sudan. There will also be a craft sale and auction!
On Thursdays we market
Fresh vegetables. Check. Beautiful weather. Check. Local vendors. Check. Every Thursday from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm in Steinbach (until just before Thanksgiving) check out the Steinbach Farmer’s Market in the Clearspring Centre parking lot. It’s definitely something you’ll want to check off your summer to-do list.
Summer in Manitoba: Insurance
If any of your last-minute summer activities include boating, driving, off-roading (and a whole whack of other things) make sure you’re properly prepared with insurance. We’d love to help you make the most out of the last few weeks of summer in Manitoba.
