The Story
1996
Brio starts out in Norma Hiebert’s home.
2014
Sunova Credit Union buys Norma’s business. Norma stays on as VP.
Later that year, Brio Insurance is created and opens its first branch in Steinbach.
In November, the shares of King Insurance/One Insurance are acquired and operate out of Steinbach.
2015
Brio Insurance opens a new location at 1033 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg. Location now known as St. Mary’s.
2016
Brio Insurance acquired the shares of Warren, Still & Johnstone Ltd in June. Graham location is established.
The shares of McElhoes & Duffy are acquired, located at 1-604 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg (Old St. Vital location).
2017
Old St. Vital (M&D) book of business moved to 1033 St. Mary’s Road.
2019
In May, Beausejour location opens at 2-635 Park Ave, Beausejour.
In November, customer list was purchased from One Insurance Leila. Leila location is established.
2020
Shares of Le Bon Ami Insurance Brokers are acquired. La Broquerie is established.
Shares of PMC Forest Insurance Brokers are acquired. Goulet location is established.
2021
Graham book of business is moved to a new location at 1-2526 Main Street, Winnipeg MB. Riverbend is established.
2022
Brio merges with Interlake Agencies Ltd. This brought the Gimli, Arborg, Riverton, and Peguis locations.
