Don’t let these ‘I don’t have tenant insurance’ horror stories happen to you
Just imagine it. You fall asleep after a long day at work and forget you were cooking something on the stove. In no time at all, your kitchen is up in flames. Luckily, first responders put the fire out and no one was harmed, but because you live in the top corner of the building, the water to put out the fire caused damage to those living below. You didn’t have insurance and were solely responsible for the damage caused to the neighbours below. Uh oh.
You know those big, golf ball-sized pieces of hail that can fall from the sky? Well, sometimes, they can land right through the window of your apartment, breaking the glass and causing destruction. This can happen to anyone and if the storm is bad enough, the hail could damage your belongings on the inside. The worst part? If you don’t have tenant insurance, you’ll have to pay out of pocket for your prized possessions.
You like expensive things, who can blame you? Whether it’s your state-of-the-art gaming laptop or $500 blender (that was completely worth it, by the way), you treasure the finer things in life. But, you’re also a major procrastinator and keep putting off getting insurance. You go out one night, and oops, you forget to lock your door. When you get home, you discover you’ve been robbed. Probably should have gotten insurance, right?
